ARTMARES, HALLOWEAST & FESTIVALL

Contemporary Galleries presents Artmares, the Halloween themed art show that is part of East End Main Street’s wildly successful HallowEast and Charleston’s FestivALL Fall. The works of 30 local artists are on display in a special section of our showroom 10 am to 9 pm Wednesday and Thursday. Join us Friday evening for a special reception and enjoy beer, wine, hors d’oeuvres and live music at NO CHARGE. All artwork is for sale for the 4 days of HallowEast and proceeds benefit the artists and EEMS. Come celebrate this cool event in Fall with Contemporary Galleries, 1210 Smith St. in the warehouse district.

CHARLESTON EAST END MAIN STREET
Charleston East End Main Street “strives to grow a vibrant commercial district that enhances the unique and diverse character of East End neighborhoods.” Contemporary Galleries supports the work of East End Main Street in word and action. Several of our employees have and currently serve as board and committee members and volunteers. We donate office space to East End Main Street on our third floor overlooking Appalachian Power Park, and host a variety of Main Street activities, like the fabulous HallowEast art celebration called ArtMares.

FOOD DRIVE
Every January in conjunction with our Winter Sale, we collect non-perishable food items for donation to a local food bank. We were inspired to start this project by one of our favorite upholstery vendors who spearheads an effort to have all their customers do the same.

LOCAL CHARITIES
We support a number of other local charities by donating auction items and door prizes to the many galas and festivals that raise money for their vital programs.
